    3D Seismic Data

    used for imaging oil strata

    East Vealmoor Field, Texas

    3D Line Plot | 3D Color Plot | 3D Fishnet Plot

WE PROPOSE to shoot a 3D seismic survey which would extend and merge with the 20 square miles of 3D seismic data we have already acquired in our area of operations. We anticipate to identify at least 6 new features exhibiting oil traps within the area, adding 12-15 well locations to those our existing 3D data has already identified, some with directional drilling potential from existing pilot wells.

BIDS for the work and projected costs for permits have ranged from $60,000 - $100,000 depending on the parameters. Processing and merging the data with interpretation will be $20,000. Acquiring an additional 640 acres of oil leases for $64,000 gives a reasonable estimate of $195,000 before drilling commences. This is $15,000 per potential location.

The average well in the area has produced 400,000 barrels of oil suggesting a reserve potential of 6,000,000 barrels of oil. Some wells alone have produced 700,000 barrels of oil.

    3D Seismic Data Acquisition Extension
Join our project for new seismic data acquisition in the East Vealmoor Field area that will extend and merge with our 20 square miles of existing data to identify reef mounds. The cost includes seismic permtting and acquisition of 640 acres of oil leases. Suggested potential oil reserves of 6,000,000 barrels. Inquire for partial interest buy-in. Joining the new acquisition will give you a preferential option in joining the drilling on 800 acres of offset leases.

    Horizontal Oilwell Drilling/Targets Between Wells
East Vealmoor, Texas. Participation available in long horizontal. Drill long horizontal from existing oil wells to targets identified by 3-D seismic and geologic data between producing wells. 1 - 15 well package with potential 6,000,000 barrels oil reserves. "In house" drilling project is $240,000 for directional or $300,000 for short horizonjtal and subsequent wells are $165,000 for directional or $225,000 for short horizontal for "oil in the tanks". Participation available in Long Horizontal is 50% interest of $450,000 plus 10% contingency. Project size is $2,400,000-$4,200,000 with a field historical average oil production of 400,000 barrels oil per well. Contact us or call 432-686-0397 to discuss package options. A good project even at ultra-low oil prices. A great project when prices are up.

We have reprocessed the seismic field data with improved statics and reinterpreted it with recalculated velocities using isochron mapping from WELL CONTROL to derive depth. Any very near surface refraction problems were corrected using refraction statics, a technique first used in the 1930s with hand calculations that has recently been revisited to use with HIGH TECH 3D surveys. Static is now measured from refraction breaks on the records and calculated by computer to correct velocity very near the surface.

THE EAST VEALMOOR FIELD discovery well is on our lease and was discovered in 1950 by primitive seismic methods. Now high definition SEISMIC shows it was drilled away and downdip from the pinnacle of a feature, as were several wells on the lease. We will drill directionally toward the pinnacles of several features.

Click on OIL_DRILLING to learn about cost effective directional drilling between producing oil wells in West Texas, targeting oil traps identified by highly reliable 3D_SEISMIC data. This project yields good returns even at low crude oil prices .

Reduced costs create opportunities with great upside potential. The initial well is structured to payout in 6 months with a 20:1 return over time. RESERVES can be reached at a fraction of the cost of new wells by drilling directionally.

The Horseshoe Atoll in the Midland Basin is nestled between the Matador Arch, the Ozona Arch, and the Central Basin Platform.

East Vealmoor is the southern tip of the atoll.
